Venue: Scott Stadium, Charlottesville, VA

Okay, Virginia, are you really ready to be a factor?
After an awful first three weeks, the Cavaliers started to find their offense under new head coach Bronco Mendenhall rolling by Central Michigan and shocking Duke to turn things around before getting two weeks off to prepare for Pitt.
The Cavaliers aren’t physical enough yet, and they’re not stopping anyone from throwing the ball, but Kurt Benkert has been bombing away for a passing game that’s making up for a slew of other issues.
Pitt’s defense is getting a massive year out of Ejuan Price – the nation’s leader in sacks and tackles for loss – is the one thing that’s working for a Panther secondary that’s getting lit up like a Christmas tree. Every Panther game has been a fun and wild shootout with four of the last five games decided by a touchdown or less. Expect this to be another shootout.
It’ll be bombs away for the Virginia offense while Pitt will crush with its ground attack that overcame a mediocre start to come up with 200 rushing yards or more in the last five games while averaging over five yards per pop in each one.
The Panthers are great at holding on to the ball for long periods of time, and that’ll be the difference. Virginia won’t get enough chances or enough third down stops.
