Where are all the Big Ten teams going this post-season? What bowls are their destiny? Here are the College Football News preseason predictions and bowl projections, looking at where the Big Ten teams will go.
2016 Preseason Big Ten Bowl Projections
The Big Ten should be in a nice spot of having more eligible teams than bowl spots, especially if it has a huge year and puts a few teams into the New Year’s Six games along with the College Football Playoff.
It’s not a hard projection for the league. The champion goes to the Rose Bowl if it’s not in the CFP, and it gets a team to Pasadena no matter what. There’s also a spot assured in the Orange or Buffalo Wild Wings, and then it goes right on down the line with the teams slotted according to best fit, standings and rankings.
The one big curveball is the TaxSlayer and Music City – the Big Ten trades off with the ACC on this. It’s likely going to be the Music City this year.
So with all that in mind, the 2016 preseason Big Ten bowl projections are …
